Buying property in Italy

A cheap house is only cheap if the village around it survives. This ranks villages for someone buying and restoring — but note the honest gap: the cost axis has no data yet, so no score here includes a price. What it does measure is whether the place is worth restoring into.

How this list is ordered

Weighted for the cheap-house renovator

Chasing price per square metre. Tolerates isolation, but a village that is emptying fast is a house that will never resell.

A note on the data

Coverage is shown beside every score because they are not the same claim. A 79 built from eight measured axes is not the 79 you get from four. Where an axis has no trustworthy data it is dropped and the remaining weights are renormalised — never filled with a zero.
